Bengaluru, June 30, 2025 – A shocking murder case has surfaced in Bengaluru’s Chennammanakere Achukattu area: the body of a woman, reportedly in her 30s, was discovered tied up in a sack and dumped inside a garbage truck early Sunday morning .

Around 2am on June29, a local scraping through rubbish noticed a suspicious bag in the rear lift of a BBMP garbage truck and alerted authorities. Police quickly registered a murder case and began sifting through CCTV footage. Preliminary findings indicate death by smothering, with post-mortem reports awaited.

The victim is Pushpa (Asha), a 34‑year‑old housekeeping employee from Hulimavu’s Venugopal Nagar .Bengaluru South DCP Lokesh B Jagalasar stated the victim and suspect lived together for about four months, but their relationship had recently soured .Within 20 hours of the discovery, police arrested Mohammed Shamsuddin (32) from Assam—her live-in partner—based on CCTV evidence showing him transporting the body on his scooter. Investigators suspect a violent argument, with Shamsuddin allegedly returning home drunk, resulting in Pushpa’s strangulation. The motive appears to be personal conflict, though all aspects are still under probe. The mutilated body is undergoing post-mortem to confirm cause of death and rule out sexual assault .The suspect is in custody and undergoing police interrogation while forensic teams continue scanning CCTV footage for further leads.
