The torrential rains in Bangalore city last week completely disrupted life. People had to face a lot of trouble due to problems like waterlogging, broken roads, power cuts and waterlogging in houses. The maximum impact was seen in Chamrajpet area, where in many areas people were imprisoned in their own houses.

Be it food items, clothes, medicines or temporary shelter – every need was taken care of. The team itself visited the flooded streets and houses, contacted the administrative officials and got immediate instructions for drainage and cleaning of water. The elderly, women and children trapped in the houses were taken to safe places.
The people of Chamrajpet thanked Zameer Ahmed, Ayub Khan and Aamir Bhai wholeheartedly for this spirit of service and said that such leaders are the real public representatives, who are found standing at the forefront in difficult times. People also expressed that in future they would like to send only such responsible and grassroots leaders to the Assembly and Parliament.
The relief and support provided by these people amidst the calamity of rains turned out to be a true example of humanity and public service.◆◆◆
